Seven Up Club

Early orthodontic treatment in North Arlington, NJ

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first orthodontic check by age 7, and our Seven Up Club visit is free. Most kids just need monitoring, and our orthodontists start treatment only when the timing is right.

Why age 7?

By about age 7, the first permanent molars and front teeth have come in. Our orthodontists can see how the jaw is growing and whether there will be room for the rest of the permanent teeth.

Is early treatment right for my child?

Most children simply join our Seven Up Club: we check growth at follow-up visits and start treatment only when the timing is right. Sometimes early treatment helps, for example to guide jaw growth or make room for permanent teeth. We will tell you which applies to your child.

What happens at the visit?

Dr. Greenberg, Dr. Rana or Dr. Apigo gives your child a gentle exam, with photos and digital X-rays if needed, then explains what we see in plain words. No needles, no drills.

How long does early treatment take?

If your child needs it, Phase 1 is a shorter first round of treatment while they are still growing. Some children need a second phase once their permanent teeth are in. Our orthodontists give you an estimate for your child.

Signs to come in sooner

Crowded or crooked front teeth, a crossbite, thumb sucking past age 5, mouth breathing, or front teeth that stick out.

What does early treatment cost?

Your fee depends on your treatment plan. We review costs, insurance and payment options with you at your consultation.

Ways to make it manageable: interest-free in-house payment plans, zero-down options, 5% off when paying in full, FSA, and most major PPO insurance plans. See financial details.
