So it's that time of year again and I am so excited! My family and I have been hosting Thanksgiving every year for the past 10+ years. I will spend the day Wednesday out of the office, setting the table and prepping for our feast. Every year seems to get better, more fun and even more delicious. I am sharing the Greenberg Family "secret" apple pie recipe for you all because it is quick, easy and super-delicous!
Greenberg Family "not so secret anymore" Apple Pie Recipe
Prep time: 15 minutes. Bake time: 20-30 min.
Pre-Heat oven to 350 degrees.
5-6 apples sliced thin (Any kind. I use a variety.)
Mix apples with 1Tbsp sugar and 1tsp cinnamon until coated. Place coated apples in a buttered pie pan.
In a medium bowl- mix 1 1/2 sticks melted butter, 1 C sugar, 1 C flour, 1 egg, 1/2 C chopped walnuts. Pour over apples and spread.
Bake about 20-30 minutes or until golden. I usually bake the pie while dinner is being eaten and serve the warm pie with ice cream. So yummy!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
